The more I look back on the debates, the more I think the question, does God exist, is too broad a subject. Perhaps next year we should zero in on something more specific such as how does God exist, in or outside the universe. Getting specific is where theists seem to drop the ball, it requires that they be consistent in a small venue, where it will not lend itself to gross generalizations and irrelevancies.
@Da__Vinci - That was my immediate conclusion as well. Since both debates inevitably focused on qualia, why not plan to have an entire debate about qualia? The mind/body problem or physicalism vs. dualism would be a much more focused and relevant debate since it's an issue that often needs to be sorted out first these days.
